Our selection of native plants with new, wonderful tastes for cooking. The leaves can be used fresh, dried or soaked in olive oil. Recipes can be supplied with the plants. Experiment!

Parcels are sent by Registered Post which includes insurance cover for Victoria and NSW. 1 or 2 plants cost $10.00, 3 to 10 plants cost $20.00, 11 to 20 plants cost $25.00, for orders over 20 plants or for a state other than Victoria or NSW we will contact you with a quote when you place your order.

Culinary Plants

Alpine Baeckea
(Baeckea gunniana)

The leaves have a strong sweet aroma and make a refreshing and aromatic tea. Use fresh or dried. When infused in oil, it has a nutty flavour with a hint of eucalyptus.

Height to 4 m. Flowers to 1 cm wide Dec to Feb. Hot tasting leaves and berries on female plants

Mountain Pepper
(Tasmannia lanceolata)

The leaves have a strong sweet and hot flavour that is different to anything else that you have ever tasted. Some describe the aroma as woody.This taste goes well with meat and fish and fish dishes and can be your best ingredient in curries. Female bush has berries that are very hot.
